Scripture
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:"

— Ecclesiastes 3:1

From the book "Still Walking"
"Life with Jesus isn't about avoiding change; it's about walking with Him *through* change. I learned that even in the toughest transitions, His presence makes all the difference, ushering me into new seasons with His grace."

Dearest friend, have you ever felt like life threw you a curveball when you were expecting a straight pitch? One moment everything feels stable, predictable, and then—bam!—a job shifts, a relationship takes an unexpected turn, or a health challenge knocks on your door. In those moments, it can feel less like a gentle turning of the page and more like the whole book just slammed shut. It's natural to feel a jolt, a disorienting sensation when a chapter closes abruptly.

But here’s the beautiful truth, etched into the very fabric of creation: there’s a divine rhythm to life. The wise King Solomon, in Ecclesiastes 3:1, reminds us, 'There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.' Think about that, friend. Even in the unexpected, even in the seemingly jarring moments, God's hand is still on the clock. He is the master choreographer of every season, orchestrating spring's blossoms, summer's warmth, autumn's harvest, and winter's quiet.

Sometimes, we mistakenly believe that a faithful life means avoiding change, that peace comes from avoiding anything new or challenging. But true faith, enduring faith, isn't about sidestepping life's transitions. It’s about walking *through* them, hand-in-hand with our unchanging God. He doesn't promise a life without shifts; He promises His unwavering presence *in* every shift.

When you find yourself in an unfamiliar season, perhaps one you didn’t choose, remember this: God is not surprised. He knew this season was coming. More than that, He has a purpose for it. He’s not passively watching; He’s actively working behind the scenes, weaving together something beautiful, perfecting something profound within you, or preparing you for something magnificent ahead.

He might be closing one door only to open a grander one you never even imagined. He might be allowing a tearing down so He can build you up stronger and more resilient than ever before. Every ending, every transition, every tear-filled moment has the potential to usher in a new beginning, a fresh surge of His grace, and an invitation to soar to new heights with Him.

So, beloved one, don't resist the rhythm; lean into it. Trust that the same God who hung the stars and paints the sky with sunsets is intimately involved in your personal seasons. He is faithfully leading you, moment by moment, towards your destiny. You are not alone in this journey. He is with you, guiding you, strengthening you, and preparing you for the glorious blessings that lie just around the corner.

May you walk through this day, and every day, with a joyful expectation, knowing that the best is always yet to come when you walk with Him.

Reflect

How can trusting God’s sovereignty in every season, even the difficult ones, lead you to a deeper sense of peace and purpose?

Today's prayer
Heavenly Father, we come to You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that You are the Lord of every season of our lives. Thank You for Your incredible wisdom that guides the rhythm of our days. Grant us the grace, Lord, to embrace every transition, every unexpected turn, knowing that You are sovereign and good. Help us to feel Your loving presence, especially when new beginnings feel like endings, and fill us with an unwavering trust in Your perfect plan for our lives. Amen.
